Todd was born and raised in Smithville, Missouri. He retired as a Staff Sergeant from the U. S. Army and Missouri Army National Guard in 2001 as a Legal NCO. While on active duty, he served in Panama, Honduras, Costa Rica, South Korea as well as several posts in the United States. After retiring, he graduated from Central Missouri State University (Now University of Central Missouri) with a B.S.Ed in English, and several hours toward a Master’s Degree in Business Administration. He is also a graduate of The Writer’s Institute. He taught high school English, communication and creative writing for a number of years in districts around Missouri.
In 2000, he was hired on at Shook Hardy & Bacon in Kansas City as a Document Analyst and worked with them for 3 years. He was picked up by a small estate planning firm in Leawood as a probate paralegal and facilitator. Todd has worked for several Estate Planning attorneys, doing document production work in Kansas and Missouri. He has been with Sullivan Estate Law since 2007.
Todd is a published author of several children’s books and articles in some national educational publications.
Todd has worked with Habitat for Humanity, the Home Depot “Team Depot” volunteer program, Drury Hotels as a bartender and concierge, and is an Ambassador at Starlight Theater and the Folly Theater in Kansas City.
