In his asset protection practice Lewis restructures personal and professional assets to proactively safeguard against creditors and lawsuits, particularly for individuals in high-liability professions such as real estate developers, physicians, corporate officers and entrepreneurs. He analyzes clients’ asset portfolios, determining the most effective way to reorganize ownership to maximize asset protection. This includes determinations of the most appropriate type of entity to own assets, how each entity should be owned and managed, and proper situs (location) of such entities. Lewis integrates entities sitused in “debtor friendly” jurisdictions, such as Alaska and Nevada.
In addition to a robust estate planning practice, Lewis counsels business owners and entrepreneurs in a wide range of industries on all aspects of their business planning and operations, including organizing and expanding their closely held businesses, tax issues, employment law and employee benefits, and business succession planning. With over two decades in finance and tax law. Lewis's experience, vision and guidance enable him to assist his clients at all stages of their business and in any industry, providing them with individualized tax and legal advice from inception to succession.
